Patrick O'Shea - Writer/Director/Producer

 

Patrick O'Shea is an award-winning film maker who studied Film & Communications in the Dublin Institute of Technology. He was Head of Operations for the Future TV Media Centre in Dublin after which he moved to Luxembourg and worked in the film studios of Carousel Pictures and Deluxe Productions.



He has written, directed and produced numerous short films and promo videos. His short horror film, ‘The Sign’ (2008), premiered at the Cork International Film Festival in 2008 and played as part of Spike Lee’s Babelgum Online Film Festival 2009.



His short film ‘Penny’, screened at the Cork, Waterford and Clones Film Festivals in 2008. ‘Penny’ won the Prize for ‘Best Drama’ at the Corona International Fastnet Short Film Festival in 2009 and screened on RTÉ as part of its Short Screen series. 'Tree Keeper' is his debut feature film.

Rupert MacCarthy-Morrogh - Director of Photography

 

Rupert was the Director of Photography for the feature film, ‘Forty Shilling Shame’. He was also the Director of Photography on a number of short films that have screened at International Film Festivals including, ‘ATA Girl’, ‘Tunnel’, the award winning short drama ‘Snap’, ‘Daughters of Rome’ and the BCI and Arts Council funded ‘The Wrong Turn’.

He is the CEO of www.SLR.ie  Broadcast equipment hire, which he founded to provide production support, equipment hire and training to the broadcast and entertainment industry. Rupert's clients to date include RTÉ, TG4, BBC, National Geographic, The Discovery Channel, Heineken Ireland, SIPTU, UK-TV, Channel 4, Irish Distillers, Dublin Port Authority and numerous independent productions.

John O'Brien - Music Composer

John O'Brien is a conductor, director and composer based in Cork, Ireland.

Recent work includes: conducting, co-directing and arranging Pagliacci at the Everyman (winner Best Opera Production Irish Times Theatre Awards), directing and designing the set for the acclaimed production of Dido & Aeneas at the Cork Opera House which toured across Ireland, directing the dance film Inner Landscapes, creating the Voice Effect (Choir-in-Residence at Cork Opera House) and writing the music for the feature film Tree Keeper.



John has worked on over forty different productions of opera and musical theatre in Ireland, Northern Ireland, London, Edinburgh, Montreal and Regina; and has toured with choirs across Europe, Japan and China.

Gill Brennan - Makeup Artist

Gill has been working in the area of makeup for film, television and theatre for over ten years, receiving an IFTA nomination in 2011 for 'Swansong - The Story of Occi Byrne'.

Colin Morrison - Sound Recordist

Colin is a freelance Cameraman and Sound Recordist working in Television and Independent Cinema.

Paraic English - Camera Op

Paraic has been working as a Camera Lightingman for over ten years. He has shot and edited short films, documentaries, adverts, stock and catalogue shoots in Ireland and abroad.

Lauren O'Shea - Trainee

Lauren came onboard Tree Keeper as a student trainee where she gained experience in the Camera and Sound depts. Lauren is currently studying Media Production in Tralee I.T.
